A New Visual Identity: Rebuilding Our Design Language from the Ground Up
Why We Redesigned
When we first launched, we used the default styling from our component library — cool gray tones, rounded corners, and animated effects like rainbow buttons and shimmer text. It looked like every other AI tool on the market, and it didn't reflect our product's core purpose.
Our users come to FreeOCR.AI for precision and clarity. They upload a photo and expect a well-structured document back. Our interface should communicate that same sense of order and professionalism — not distract from it with visual noise.
What's New
We rebuilt the entire visual system around a simple idea: the interface should feel like a well-typeset document. Here are the key changes you'll notice:
Stronger brand identity
A warm, editorial color palette replaces the generic cool gray. Combined with serif headings and precise mono labels, the new look is unmistakably FreeOCR.AI.
Clearer visual hierarchy
Three distinct typefaces — serif for headings, sans-serif for body, and monospace for labels — make it instantly clear what's a title, what's content, and what's metadata.
Cleaner interactions
We removed all decorative animations and effects. Hairline borders replace drop shadows. The result is a calmer, more focused experience that lets your content take center stage.
Same Product, Better Experience
Under the hood, nothing has changed. The same powerful OCR engine, the same privacy-first approach, the same multi-language support. This update is purely about making the experience feel right — a tool that takes documents seriously should look the part.
This new design language is the foundation for how FreeOCR.AI will look and feel going forward. As we continue to build new features, every addition will follow the same visual rules, keeping the experience consistent and predictable.
